Yesterday saw us in Cahir for the 4th and final round of our Autumn series and our last grasstrack of the year and it finished with a bang.
With sun shining all day,a top class track and full line ups in all classes it was shaping up to be a massive days racing.
Championships were on the line and one again it was nothing but top notch across all classes,
Richard power after already having won the clubman summer championship went head to head with Daniel moloney for the mx2 crown.with great racing across the 3 race swapping places all day with Richard coming out on top to take 2 championship titles this year,
The expert class had Nick Selwyn and Simon Spendlove go head to head with Simon's father Nigel taking the wins in the over 40s.
The Automatics and novice class was the fullest we have seen it with a full line up of regulars and first timers all battling out with their parents watching.
But Jamie Hurley and Ben Atkinson ultimately took the wins in each class,
This is just a brief taste of the great racing all day.
Since this is the end of the grasstracks we would to say few things,
First and foremost the racing this year was top class.we know we say it over and over but we wouldn't unless it was true.Every class kept there A games on all year,it truly was a joy to watch.All the riders did us proud at each race and made the racing worth watching.
It was great to see new riders both adult and kids joining us all year,we are grateful they chose our Club, hopefully they enjoyed it and will be back next year.Despite the racing being intense the paddock is always a friendly atmosphere with riders talking,joking and always willing to help each other if its needed.This is great to see when all is said and done its a sport which should be fun.
It is a great thing to see not only the riders but their whole families at a race.We pride ourselves on being a family run and family friendly club.
We would like to say thanks to Kieran murray János Podonyi,Edit Fazekas,János Podonyi jnr for everything they have done for us over the year,Noel Guinan,Hilary Ellis and and Nick(The Mudshack)Selwyn, Ben and Jamie Buckley.Glenn and Ronan Steele,all the various medical teams we had, and all the landowners and everyone at Offroad Motorsport UK.
And of course thanks to all the riders,Their parents and everyone in between who helped make this year a brilliant year.
Becauseof the thank yous we have been receiving .we would like to say a very big your welcome and although we don't always say it we truly do appreciate it we are just glad everyone enjoys it.
Despite the grasstracks being over we still have one more race a hare and hound which will be in mogeely on the 20th of November.
